Professional drummer and entertainment aficionado passionate about the transformative power of music

I have spent my whole life in the music and entertainment realm – as a performer, a fan and within a corporate environment – and I am extremely passionate to be pursuing a career in artist management, marketing and assistance. While my time as a performer taught me what it takes to create successful music experiences as well as life-long memories for any fan base, my time working with Creative Artists Agency and Live Nation taught me that any and all facets of a music production must work collaboratively to deliver the best concert and product experience.

About Brian Kerwick

Music is, and always will be, my passion. I have immersed myself in music my whole life, from performing live on stage at the age of 11 to writing, producing and releasing original music with multiple projects that can be found on all streaming platforms.

On the corporate side, my time spent with Creative Artists Agency and Live Nation taught me that communication and teamwork are essential when collaborating, the client comes first and two heads are better than one.

I plan on pursuing a career in live music & client management that will allow me to help artists strategize and execute their visions. I want to be a part of the ecosystem that connects artists to celebrating their visions with their fans because that experience will always be priceless.

At Creative Artists Agency’s (CAA’s) headquarters in Los Angeles, my internship exposed me to many different facets of CAA’s business model, where I analyzed music and entertainment sub-industries and developed connections with seasoned agents and executives.

Now, I am currently bettering my skill sets in the Agency Prep Program where I support client inquiries, internet research and presentation development. Other responsibilities entail social media management, where I prepare marketing and advertising strategies for clientele’s live streams & performances and break down fan-based demographic data – which assists in setting up countrywide and international tours and/or single shows. Lastly, I construct 360˚ e-portfolios for artist clientele that showcases an artist’s bio, content, branding and career activity.

I worked at Live Nation for two summers in Premium Seat Sales, responsible for driving VIP customer acquisition, running on-site marketing at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, engaging clients to anticipate and ensure their needs were met, and driving logistical execution at each show.  I worked directly with our Senior Director of Venue Sales and regularly sold experiential upgrades and discussed future sales and marketing strategies at the on-site venue.

During my second year, I was promoted to manage a staff of 7 where I oversaw logistical execution and collaborated as a team to execute client problem-resolution strategies that would ensure the maximum VIP concert experience. Lastly, I developed positive and collaborative relationships with security to manage conflict and handle urgent on-site situations.

At the University of Delaware, I served as President of the School of Music Council, Public Relations Chairman of a national music fraternity - Phi Mu Alpha - and drummer ambassador for multiple music ensembles, including Pep Band and UDrumline.

My past and present experiences have given me a variety of marketing, sales and business skills within the music industry, and working with different teams at CAA, Live Nation and the University of Delaware have taught me invaluable lessons in leadership and communication.  I work well under pressure, deliver under tight deadlines, and am positively motivated and driven. I would love to bring these skills to other artists and develop them further through helping the artists grow and learning from those passionate in the industry.
